Wedding Photographers Iowa: Favorite of the Week

We had a great time with Liz and Brett, we started our day of photography at the ped mall.  Not many brides are willing to risk getting their dress dirty, but when you get one that says, “It’s going to be filthy at the end of the night anyway.”  You know you can make something … Read more

Spent a great morning at the park with Amy & Jon recently and captured these images for their November wedding.  They are both super busy high powered individuals in the health industry and used to getting very limited sleep.  Probably not as glamourous as Grey’s portray’s it to be.  But I fell in love with … Read more

What we love about it…  The gritty background is an amzing contrast with the formal wear.  We took it a step further with the post processing giving it an edgy look that we think just works with the image.

Spent a great morning at the park with Amy & Jon recently and captured these images for their November wedding.  They are both super busy high powered individuals in the health industry and used to getting very limited sleep.  Probably not as glamourous as Grey’s portray’s it to be.  But I fell in love with their laid back easy style.  They are just so natural with each other, it makes the session go so smoothly.  Looking forward to the wedding Amy, you will be a beautiful bride!!

Megan & Danny Highlights Reel | Iowa Photographers (0)

What a beautiful August Day for Megan and Danny’s Wedding. Danny gets the coolest cuff links of the year award. Being a baseball fanatic, Megan had them custom made from a real baseball. How cool is that?

Danny and Megan aare so happy and so much in love that it didn’t take much coaxing to get them to show us their true feelings for each other. They laughed the whole day through. Megan’s cupcake theme started with the engagement and carried all the way through to the wedding day. I love a girl who goes all in! The black and white color scheme was so pretty and I loved the beading worked into the flowers and the crystal trees at the reception. The icing on the (cup)cake was at the very end when they changed into converse tennies. What a fun photo op! Can’t wait to hear what you think of the rest. Thanks so much for making W Gallerie a part of your amazing wedding.

Aubrey & Chase | Wedding Highlights (0)

WATCH IT IN HD FOR BEST RESULTS.

Aubrey and Chase were married on August 13th.  A Friday the 13th and had the most perfect day!  The weather was the only craziness that happened.  Rain, Sun, Wind, it was all there and the sunset was AMAZING.

Aubrey looked so beautiful in her dress that fit her style and figure PERFECTLY!  The one shoulder strap and the pearl color looked so pretty with her skin tone and Chase didn’t look so bad himself.  The flowers from the Flower Mill in Independence were STUNNING!

Aubrey and Chase incorporated an Irish Theme into their wedding and carried it throughout.  From the china from Ireland, to the shamrocks on the programs, to the Bells of Ireland in the bridal bouquet, to the Bagpiper at the service.  There were so many irish touches in their day.

One of my favorite parts of the day was when Aubrey and Chase let me be present when they exchanged cards before the ceremony.  It was such a sweet heartfelt moment.  Thanks for letting me capture it.  I also LOVED the toast her father gave that reminded Chase that Aubrey was his when it was Christmas Tree choosing time.  And who can forget that Aubrey sang “I Will Be Here” before walking down the aisle.  Talk about grace under pressure!  Then then to top it off, her mom Kay also sang during the ceremony.  Can totally see where Aubrey got her pipes. :)   Also loved the short detour we took to Aubrey’s parents house before the reception.  They have the kind of yard that is a photographers dream.  Wish mine looked like that!

You were so much fun.  Thanks for choosing w gallerie to be part of your day.  It was such a personal, fun filled, relaxed day.  We hope you have a long happy life together and that the luck of the Irish follows you throughout your entire lives.

Love something?  Make it a theme so you can personalize your photography.  Aaron is a baseball fanatic and Kim spent hours and hours cheering him on, so it only made sense that we travel to a baseball diamond with them and their wedding party.

Heather is one of our brave military and when she’s not busy with that, she’s a police officer.  Russell is a concrete man, brick pavers the whole bit and works in the family business, Mike Dolan Construction.  When you are in the military they get to tell you when to come and go, so their wedding is coming together very quickly and we are thrilled to be a part of their plans.  Looking forward to a beautiful September day.

Molly & Tim’s Highlight Video | Iowa Photographers (0)

Molly & Tim are a very special couple to us, because they are more than clients, they are friends and our next door neighbors. Molly is the sweetest person and the owner of Hair Innovations, a salon in Cedar Falls, (Call 319-266-6914 for appointments). When Molly gives you a hug, it is so genuine, she has the most open heart of anyone I know. A couple years ago, Tim dropped into her life and brought a smile to her face like I have never seen before. Beyond being patient, calm, and laid back in every situation (I swear I haven’t seen him get mad yet) he loves her kids (William and Walker) as much as if they were biologically his. I have never seen another man do that. What an amazing gift that is!

When we decided to move to Alabama, Molly, Tim, and Will just dropped everything and showed up to help load up the trailer and when we moved back 6 months later they were there to help us unload. They’ve watched our kids when we’ve had to go back and forth to the house in Alabama and spoiled them rotten.  My daughter Zelle is convinced that she is going to marry Walker someday.

One of my favorite parts of the day was when Molly saw Tim for the first time. Their eyes locked and I swear they didn’t notice anyone else in the room. It was such a sweet special moment, that I will remember forever. Molly’s dad seeing her was another special moment. I love the image of them laughing through the tears. Walker loved his tux so much he said, “I’m going to wear this everyday.” Until the 110 heat index caught up with him. :)

Will and Walker had a special place in the Auditorium during the ceremony that Tim’s Uncle presided over. There was a Cupcake Tree and Cake Balls. And during the toasts, Will stole the show, telling Tim, that “You are the best thing that ever happened to me.” Not a dry eye in the place after that one.

We love you guys so much and hope you have a very long and happy life together. We’re so grateful that God put us right across the street from you.  We look forward to many more bottles of wine, wiffle ball games, chit chats and dinners together.  Looking forward to Walker and Zelle  July 17, 2035! :)
